Hows does chassis tuning positively affect handling?

Read below to see how Ultra Racing bars improve the structural rigidity of your vehicle.

 Chassis and Handling

A Vehicle Chassis is carried by 4 wheels and 4 shock absorbers. While driving on a road , any bumps are absorbed by the Shock Absorber, however if the chassis is not strong enough to support the shock absorber, some of the impact transfers through the shock absorber and into the chassis which causes chassis flex.

The flexing of a chassis can be felt more during cornering as the chassis "twists" while the weight of the  vehicle is shifted or transferred to facilitate the change in direction.

To solve the problems associated with chassis flexing , Ultra Racing bars are added to improve the structural rigidity and as a result improve the handling of the vehicle, After all a stronger chassis results in superior handling.

Upper Strut Bar and Lower Arm Bar.

 Before:

Part of the impact transfers to the chassis causing
flexing of the wheel housing and Lower Arm.

After:

After fitting the Ultra Racing upper and lower bars
the forces of impact are neutralised on the chassis

While Cornering

 Before:

The force of weight transfer during
cornering causes unpredictable handling
and increases body roll.

 After:

Forces are stabilized after fitting the
Upper and lower strut bars stabilizing
the car and improving handling

.
Fender Bars

Before:

The joint between A Pillar and front chassis
will twist and flex from the shock of
impact and drag force.

After:

The addition of Ultra Racing bars strengthen
this area and distribute the forces evenly
resulting in stable handling

Side Lower Bars

Before:

On a bumpy / uneven road the centre section
of the chassis will experience different levels
of flex due to the weight transfer between
the front and rear of the vehicle
.

After:

Ultra Racing lower side bar will minimise the
weight transfer between front and rear and also
assists in reducing damage sustained from
a side impact
.

Anti-Roll Bars

Before:

When cornering a cars chassis responds
to these forces and causes body roll which
results in reduced steering control and
harder handling characteristics.

After:

After adding the Ultra Racing anti roll bars, body
roll is greatly reduced and higher stability during
cornering can be achieved resulting in more
predictable handling
.
